Valencia
Valencia[edit]

Valencia is a vibrant city located on the eastern coast of Spain, known for its rich history, cultural heritage, and modern architectural landmarks. It is the capital of the autonomous community of Valencian Community and the third-largest city in Spain after Madrid and Barcelona.
History[edit]
Valencia was founded as a Roman colony in 138 BC. Throughout its history, it has been influenced by various cultures, including the Visigoths, Moors, and Christians. The city played a significant role during the Reconquista, and its architecture reflects a blend of these diverse influences.
Geography[edit]
Valencia is situated on the banks of the Turia River, which was diverted after a catastrophic flood in 1957. The old riverbed has been transformed into the Turia Gardens, a lush green space that runs through the city.

The economy of Valencia is diverse, with strong sectors in manufacturing, tourism, and agriculture. The city is famous for its Valencian oranges and paella, a traditional rice dish.
