Holliswood Hospital

Holliswood Hospital was a 100-bed psychiatric-specialty teaching hospital located in Hollis, Queens, New York. It was affiliated with the New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine. The hospital opened in 1986 and closed in 2013. It served as a treatment facility for patients, including teenagers. The hospital provided specialized psychiatric care and was known for its affiliation with the New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine. However, it faced challenges, including incidents of attempted escapes by patients. Despite its contributions to mental health care in the area, Holliswood Hospital ultimately shut down in 2013.
