Herzliya Medical Center is the largest private hospital in Israel, located in the beachside town of Herzliya. It was founded in 1982 by a group of investors from South Africa who wanted to create a medical center similar to those in their native country. The hospital is owned by the "LANDAU" group, one of the most famous families in Israel.

In its early years, Herzliya Medical Center had a low occupancy rate but underwent expansion in 1991, increasing its number of operating rooms. The hospital also opened a clinic in Gaza City in 1993 and signed a deal with the government of Tatarstan in 1995 to establish an advanced hospital there.

Over the years, Herzliya Medical Center has received recognition for its services. In 1999, it was elected the number one medical service provider in Israel by the United Nations and UNDOF. In 2001, the hospital established a department of medical tourism, catering to embassy representatives posted in Israel. In 2013, the Ministry of Health of Israel confirmed HMC as the best medical institution in the country.

Herzliya Medical Center is owned by Landlan Investments Ltd. (50%), Clalit Health Services (40%), and Clal Insurance (10%). The hospital boasts over 400 medical specialists in various fields of medicine.
