The Paso Robles AVA covers approximately 666,618 acres, making it one of the largest AVAs in California. The climate in Paso Robles is characterized by hot, dry summers and cool, wet winters. This temperature fluctuation is ideal for growing a variety of grapes, as it allows the fruit to ripen fully while retaining acidity.
