CDV3 (Caspase recruitment domain family member 3) is a gene that encodes a protein involved in various cellular processes, including apoptosis and immune response. The CDV3 gene is located on chromosome 3 in humans.

Structure[edit]

The CDV3 gene consists of multiple exons and introns, which are transcribed and spliced to produce a mature mRNA. The protein encoded by CDV3 is predicted to have a specific secondary structure, as shown in the accompanying image. This structure is crucial for its function in cellular processes.

The three-dimensional structure of the CDV3 protein has been predicted using computational models. This structure provides insights into the potential functional domains and interaction sites of the protein.

Expression[edit]

The expression of CDV3 varies across different tissues. RNA sequencing data indicates that CDV3 is expressed in several human tissues, with varying levels of expression. This differential expression suggests that CDV3 may have tissue-specific roles.

In addition to linear mRNA, CDV3 is also involved in the formation of circular RNAs, which are known to play roles in gene regulation and cellular stress responses.

Function[edit]

CDV3 is involved in the regulation of apoptosis and immune responses. It interacts with other proteins in the cell to modulate these processes. The protein's structure and expression patterns suggest it may have additional roles in cellular signaling pathways.

Regulation[edit]
