Señor Río is a premium tequila brand based in the United States, specifically in Arizona. The brand is known for its high-quality tequila products, which are crafted using traditional Mexican distillation methods.

History

Señor Río was founded by Jonathan Gach and Debbie Medina in 2009. The founders were inspired to create the brand after a chance meeting with a tequila distiller during a trip to Mexico. Impressed by the quality and flavor of the tequila, they decided to bring this experience to the United States.

Production

Señor Río tequila is produced in the lowlands of Jalisco, Mexico, a region renowned for its ideal tequila production conditions. The tequila is made from 100% blue agave plants, which are grown for a minimum of seven years before harvesting. The harvested agave is then slow-cooked in stone ovens, fermented, and distilled twice to produce the final product.

Products

Señor Río offers three main types of tequila: Blanco, Reposado, and Añejo.

• Blanco is the purest form of tequila, bottled immediately after distillation. It is known for its clear color and strong agave flavor.
• Reposado is aged in oak barrels for a minimum of two months but less than a year. This aging process gives the tequila a golden hue and a balanced flavor profile.
• Añejo is aged in oak barrels for a minimum of one year but less than three years. This results in a dark, richly flavored tequila.

Recognition

Señor Río has received numerous awards and accolades for its tequila. This includes gold and silver medals from the San Francisco World Spirits Competition and the Beverage Testing Institute.
