Illinois College of Optometry
Illinois College of Optometry is a private, non-profit institution located in Chicago, Illinois, United States. It is one of the oldest and largest optometry schools in the world, founded in 1872. The college offers a four-year professional program leading to the Doctor of Optometry degree (O.D.).

The Illinois College of Optometry was founded in 1872 by Dr. Henry Olin, a prominent ophthalmologist in Chicago. The college was originally located in the downtown area of Chicago, but moved to its current location in the South Side neighborhood in 1926.
Academics[edit]
The college offers a four-year professional program leading to the Doctor of Optometry degree. The curriculum includes basic and clinical sciences, as well as extensive clinical training in the college's on-site eye care clinic and at affiliated sites throughout the Chicago area.
