International Federation of Associations of Anatomists
International Federation of Associations of Anatomists (IFAA) is a global organization that brings together various national and regional anatomy associations. The IFAA was established in 1903 with the aim of advancing research and education in the field of anatomy and related disciplines.
History[edit]
The IFAA was founded in 1903 during the 14th International Congress of Medicine in Madrid, Spain. The federation was established to promote and coordinate the activities of various national and regional anatomy associations. Since its inception, the IFAA has grown to include member associations from all over the world.
Structure and Organization[edit]
The IFAA is governed by a General Assembly, which is composed of representatives from each member association. The General Assembly meets every five years during the International Congress of Anatomical Sciences. The federation also has an Executive Board, which is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the IFAA.
Activities[edit]
The IFAA organizes the International Congress of Anatomical Sciences, which is held every five years. The congress provides a platform for anatomists from around the world to share their research and collaborate on new projects. Member Associations[edit]
