Starlaw Distillery is a Scotch whisky distillery located in Bathgate, Scotland. It is owned by La Martiniquaise, a French alcoholic beverages company. The distillery was established in 2010, making it one of the newer distilleries in Scotland.

History[edit]

The Starlaw Distillery was built by Glen Turner Company Limited, a subsidiary of La Martiniquaise. The construction of the distillery began in 2007 and was completed in 2010. The distillery was built with the intention of producing grain whisky for the company's blended Scotch whisky brands, which include Label 5 and Sir Edward's.

Production[edit]

The Starlaw Distillery has a production capacity of 25 million litres of alcohol per year. The distillery uses a continuous column still for distillation, which is typical for grain whisky production. The whisky produced at Starlaw is primarily used in the production of blended Scotch whisky, but the distillery also releases a small amount of single grain whisky.

Products[edit]

The main product of Starlaw Distillery is grain whisky, which is used in the production of blended Scotch whisky. The distillery also produces a small amount of single grain whisky, which is released under the Starlaw name. The Starlaw single grain whisky is known for its light and delicate flavour profile, with notes of vanilla, honey, and citrus.
