Nutrinova is a global company that specializes in the production and distribution of food additives and sweeteners. The company is a subsidiary of Celanese, a Fortune 500 chemical and specialty materials company.

History

Nutrinova was established in the late 20th century as a division of Hoechst AG, a German chemical company. In 1999, Hoechst AG merged with Rhône-Poulenc to form Aventis, a multinational pharmaceutical company. Nutrinova was then acquired by Celanese in 2004.

Products

Nutrinova is best known for its production of the high-intensity sweetener Sunett (acesulfame K), which is approximately 200 times sweeter than sugar. The company also produces Sorbates, a range of food preservatives that are used to inhibit the growth of mold, yeast, and fungi in food and beverages.

Operations

Nutrinova operates globally, with a strong presence in Europe, North America, and Asia. The company's headquarters are located in Frankfurt, Germany.
