European Society for Emergency Medicine (EuSEM) is a non-profit medical association dedicated to the promotion and advancement of Emergency Medicine in Europe. Founded in 1994, the society aims to foster and encourage education, training, and research in Emergency Medicine.

History

The European Society for Emergency Medicine was established in 1994 by a group of eminent physicians and medical practitioners who recognized the need for a body that would represent the interests of those working in the field of Emergency Medicine. The society was formed with the aim of promoting and advancing the discipline of Emergency Medicine throughout Europe.

Objectives

The primary objectives of EuSEM are to promote and facilitate the development of Emergency Medicine in European countries, to provide a forum for knowledge exchange and collaboration among emergency medicine practitioners, and to advocate for the recognition of Emergency Medicine as a primary specialty.

Activities

EuSEM conducts a range of activities to achieve its objectives. The society also works closely with national emergency medicine societies and other related organizations to promote the interests of the specialty.

Membership

Membership in EuSEM is open to all individuals who are interested in the field of Emergency Medicine. The society offers different categories of membership, including full membership for physicians and associate membership for other healthcare professionals.
