Early Life

Oxana Malaya was born on November 4, 1983, in the village of Novaya Blagoveschenka, in the Kherson Oblast of the Ukrainian SSR, Soviet Union. Her early childhood was marked by severe neglect and abandonment by her parents, who were alcoholics. At the age of three, Oxana was left to fend for herself and found refuge among the dogs in the family kennel.

Feral Child

Oxana Malaya is known as a feral child, a term used to describe children who have lived isolated from human contact from a very young age, often raised by animals. From the age of three to eight, Oxana lived with a pack of dogs, adopting their behaviors and mannerisms. She was discovered in 1991, living in a kennel with the dogs, exhibiting canine-like behavior such as barking, walking on all fours, and lacking basic human social skills.

Rescue and Rehabilitation

Upon her discovery, Oxana was taken into care by the authorities and placed in a children's home for the mentally disabled. Her rehabilitation process was challenging, as she had to learn basic human behaviors and language skills. Over time, with the help of caregivers and specialists, Oxana made significant progress in adapting to human society.

Life After Rehabilitation

As an adult, Oxana Malaya has been able to integrate into society to some extent. She has learned to speak and perform basic tasks, although she still exhibits some behaviors reminiscent of her early life with dogs. Oxana has lived in a care home for adults with special needs, where she works on a farm caring for animals.

Media Attention

Oxana Malaya's story has attracted significant media attention over the years. Her case has been the subject of documentaries and studies on feral children and the effects of extreme neglect on child development. Her life story raises important questions about the nature of human development and the impact of environment on behavior.
