The Kellogg School of Management was founded in 1908 as the Northwestern University School of Commerce. It was one of the first business schools in the United States to offer a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree. The school was renamed in 1979 in honor of John L. Kellogg, the son of the founder of the Kellogg Company, following a significant donation.
