History
The Hollywood Candy Company was established in 1912 by Frank Martoccio. The company gained prominence in the 1920s and 1930s with the introduction of several successful candy bars. One of its most famous products was the Zero Bar, which was introduced in 1920. The Zero Bar was unique for its white fudge coating, which set it apart from other chocolate bars of the time.
In 1938, the Hollywood Candy Company was sold to the Consolidated Foods Corporation, which later became known as Sara Lee Corporation. Despite the change in ownership, the Hollywood Candy Company continued to produce its popular candy bars.
