Aspen Pharmacare is a multinational pharmaceutical company headquartered in Durban, South Africa. It is the largest drug company in Africa and has a significant presence in both emerging and developed markets. Aspen Pharmacare was founded in 1850 as a small business in Port Elizabeth, South Africa. Over the years, it has grown through strategic acquisitions and partnerships. In 1999, Aspen acquired the South African Druggists, which significantly expanded its product range and market reach.
