Aircel Comics was a Canadian comic book publisher founded in the mid-1980s. It was known for producing a variety of comic book series, many of which gained a cult following. The company was eventually acquired by Malibu Comics in the early 1990s.

History

Aircel Comics was established by Barry Blair, who was also one of the primary artists and writers for the company. The company initially started as a division of Aircel Insulation, a company that was facing financial difficulties. To keep the business afloat, Blair and his team began producing comic books.

Aircel Comics published several notable series, including:

• Samurai - A series that combined elements of martial arts and science fiction.
• Dragonring - A fantasy series that followed the adventures of a young hero in a mystical world.

Acquisition by Malibu Comics

In the early 1990s, Aircel Comics was acquired by Malibu Comics. Many of Aircel's popular series continued under the Malibu Comics banner until Malibu itself was acquired by Marvel Comics in 1994.
