Khammam
Khammam is a city in the Khammam district of the Indian state of Telangana. It serves as the district headquarters and is an important urban center in the region. The city is situated on the banks of the Munneru River, a tributary of the Krishna River.

The name "Khammam" is derived from the local deity Narasimha Swamy, whose temple is located on a hillock in the city.
