MasterChef is an American television series based on the British television series of the same name. The series premiered on Fox on July 27, 2010. It is produced by One Potato Two Potato and Endemol Shine North America, with Gordon Ramsay, Elisabeth Murdoch, Pat Llewellyn, and Ben Adler serving as executive producers.

Format

The show features amateur and home chefs competing in various cooking challenges and eliminations to win the title of MasterChef, a cash prize, and other rewards.
