Early Life and Education[edit]

One of Fabella's most notable achievements was the establishment of the Dr. José Fabella Memorial Hospital in 1920. The hospital, located in Santa Cruz, Manila, was initially founded as a maternity clinic to address the high maternal and infant mortality rates in the country. Over the years, it expanded its services and became a leading institution for maternal and child health care in the Philippines.

His efforts included the promotion of prenatal care, vaccination programs, and the establishment of rural health units.
