American foil fencer

Gerek Lin Meinhardt (born July 27, 1989) is an American foil fencer. He is a multiple-time Olympian and has won several medals in international competitions, including the World Fencing Championships and the Pan American Games.

Early life and education

Meinhardt was born in San Francisco, California. He began fencing at a young age and quickly showed promise in the sport. He attended University of Notre Dame, where he fenced for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and earned a degree in Business Administration.

Fencing career

Meinhardt has been a prominent figure in American fencing for over a decade. He made his first Olympic team in 2008 and has since competed in multiple Olympic Games, including the 2012, 2016, and 2020 Olympics. He has also been a key member of the U.S. team at the World Fencing Championships, where he has won several medals.
