Kirsten Dunst (born April 30, 1982) is an American actress and model. She made her film debut in the short film Oedipus Wrecks directed by Woody Allen in the anthology film New York Stories (1989). She gained widespread recognition for her role as Claudia in the film Interview with the Vampire (1994), for which she was nominated for a Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actress.

Kirsten Caroline Dunst was born in Point Pleasant, New Jersey, to Inez Dunst and Klaus Dunst. She has a younger brother named Christian Dunst. Her father worked as a medical services executive, and her mother was an artist and one-time gallery owner. Dunst's ancestry includes German and Swedish heritage.

Dunst began her career as a child model in television commercials at the age of three. She made her feature film debut in New York Stories (1989). Her breakthrough role came in 1994 when she played Claudia in Interview with the Vampire, alongside Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt. Her performance earned her critical acclaim and a Golden Globe Award nomination.
2000s[edit]
In the early 2000s, Dunst starred in a variety of films, including Bring It On (2000), Spider-Man (2002), and its sequels Spider-Man 2 (2004) and Spider-Man 3 (2007), where she played Mary Jane Watson. She also appeared in Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (2004) and Marie Antoinette (2006).
2010s[edit]
Dunst continued to take on diverse roles in the 2010s, including parts in Melancholia (2011), for which she won the Cannes Film Festival Award for Best Actress, and The Beguiled (2017). She also starred in the television series Fargo (2015) and On Becoming a God in Central Florida (2019).
Personal Life[edit]
Dunst has been in a relationship with actor Jesse Plemons since 2016. The couple became engaged in 2017 and have two children together. They married in 2022.
