Pterocarpus soyauxii
Pterocarpus soyauxii, commonly known as the African padauk or African coralwood, is a species of tree in the Fabaceae family, native to the rainforests of Central and West Africa. Description[edit]

The tree produces yellow flowers, which are small and arranged in panicles. The fruit of the tree is a pod, which contains seeds that are dispersed by wind.

The tree is predominantly found in the moist tropical forests of Central and West Africa, including countries such as Cameroon, Gabon, Nigeria, and the Congo. It thrives in well-drained soils and is often found in riverine forests.
