Image sensor
An image sensor or imaging sensor is a sensor used in digital cameras and other imaging devices to convert an optical image into an electronic signal. It is a critical component in digital photography and video, enabling the capture of images in a wide range of devices from professional-grade digital SLRs to everyday smartphone cameras. Types of Image Sensors[edit]
