Established in 1975 by a group of prominent doctors under the Manila Doctors Hospital, the college was initially set up to provide quality nursing education. Manila Tytana Colleges was founded in 1975 with the primary aim of supporting the Manila Doctors Hospital in producing highly competent nursing professionals. It was originally named Manila Doctors College.
