Daniel Peterson is a renowned physician specializing in the field of infectious diseases. He is particularly known for his extensive work in the study and treatment of chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS).

Early Life and Education

Daniel Peterson was born and raised in the United States. He pursued his undergraduate studies at the University of Nevada, where he developed an interest in medicine. He then went on to earn his medical degree from the University of Utah School of Medicine.

Career

Following his graduation, Peterson completed his residency in internal medicine at the University of Utah Medical Center. He then pursued a fellowship in infectious diseases at the University of Utah School of Medicine.

In the early 1980s, Peterson was one of the first physicians to recognize and study a cluster of CFS cases in Incline Village, Nevada. His pioneering work in this area has contributed significantly to the understanding and treatment of this complex and often misunderstood illness.

Peterson has served as a medical advisor to the CDC and the NIH on matters related to CFS. He has also been involved in numerous clinical trials aimed at finding effective treatments for CFS.
