COCIR
COCIR is a non-profit trade association that represents the medical imaging, radiotherapy, health ICT and electromedical industries. Founded in 1959, COCIR is unique as it brings together the healthcare, IT and telecommunications industries.
History
COCIR was established in 1959 as a non-profit association. It was initially focused on the medical imaging industry, but has since expanded to include radiotherapy, health ICT and electromedical industries. The organization's name, COCIR, stands for the French "Comité Européen de Coordination de l'Industrie Radiologique, Electromédicale et d'Informatique de Santé", which translates to "European Coordination Committee of the Radiological, Electromedical and Healthcare IT Industry" in English.
Mission
COCIR's mission is to promote a harmonized approach to the development and implementation of healthcare policies across Europe. It aims to improve patient care and outcomes through the effective use of medical technology and information systems. COCIR advocates for the adoption of harmonized standards and regulatory frameworks that facilitate the integration of new technologies into healthcare systems.
Activities
