Monika Schäfer-Korting
Monika Schäfer-Korting is a renowned pharmacologist and toxicologist from Germany. She is known for her significant contributions to the field of pharmacology, particularly in the area of dermatopharmacology and toxicology.

Monika Schäfer-Korting was born in Germany. She pursued her studies in pharmacy at the University of Bonn, where she received her Pharmaceutical State Examination in 1972. She then went on to earn her PhD in pharmacology from the same university in 1975.
Career[edit]
After completing her PhD, Schäfer-Korting began her career as a research assistant at the Institute of Pharmacology at the University of Bonn. In 1983, she qualified as a university lecturer in pharmacology and toxicology.
In 1990, she was appointed as a full professor at the Free University of Berlin, where she served as the head of the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology. Her research primarily focused on dermatopharmacology and toxicology, with a particular interest in the development of nanoparticles for drug delivery.
Contributions to Pharmacology[edit]
Schäfer-Korting has made significant contributions to the field of pharmacology. Her research has led to advancements in the understanding of drug delivery systems, particularly in the use of nanoparticles for drug delivery in dermatology.
