E45 Cream is a popular emollient cream that is used to treat and manage dry skin conditions such as eczema, dermatitis, and psoriasis. It is manufactured by Reckitt Benckiser, a British multinational consumer goods company.

Composition

E45 Cream contains white soft paraffin, light liquid paraffin, and anhydrous lanolin (medilan). These ingredients work together to restore the skin's natural moisture balance and provide a protective barrier against further moisture loss.

Uses

E45 Cream is primarily used to treat dry skin conditions. It can be used by people of all ages, including infants. The cream is applied directly to the affected area and massaged gently until it is fully absorbed.

Eczema

Eczema is a common skin condition that causes the skin to become itchy, red, and cracked. E45 Cream can help to soothe and moisturise the skin, reducing the itchiness and discomfort associated with eczema.

Dermatitis

Dermatitis is a general term that describes inflammation of the skin. E45 Cream can help to soothe the skin and reduce inflammation, making it an effective treatment for various forms of dermatitis, including contact dermatitis and seborrheic dermatitis.

Psoriasis

Psoriasis is a skin condition that causes red, flaky, crusty patches of skin covered with silvery scales. E45 Cream can help to moisturise the skin and reduce the dryness and scaling associated with psoriasis.

Side Effects

Like all medicines, E45 Cream can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. Possible side effects include skin irritation, rash, or redness. If you notice any side effects, stop using the cream and consult your doctor or pharmacist.

Precautions

Before using E45 Cream, tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are allergic to any of its ingredients. Avoid contact with the eyes. If the cream gets into the eyes, rinse thoroughly with water.
