Finast

Finast is a brand name for the drug Finasteride, a medication used primarily to treat enlarged prostate or hair loss in men. It can also be used to treat excessive hair growth in women and as a part of hormone therapy for transgender women. It is taken by mouth.
Medical Uses[edit]
Finast is used to treat benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), also known as enlarged prostate, which can cause problems with urination. It works by decreasing the production of dihydrotestosterone (DHT), a hormone that can cause the prostate to grow. By reducing the levels of DHT, Finast can help to decrease the size of the prostate and reduce symptoms of BPH.
In addition to treating BPH, Finast is also used to treat androgenetic alopecia, or male pattern hair loss. It works in a similar way, by reducing the levels of DHT. This can help to slow down hair loss and in some cases can lead to regrowth of hair.
Side Effects[edit]
Like all medications, Finast can cause side effects. These can include sexual problems such as impotence or decreased libido, as well as other side effects like dizziness, weakness, or swelling in the hands or feet. In rare cases, it can cause more serious side effects like lumps in the breast or changes in breast size.
Interactions[edit]
Finast can interact with other medications, so it's important to tell your doctor about any other drugs you're taking. This includes prescription medications, over-the-counter drugs, and herbal products.
