Thioinosinic acid


Thioinosinic acid is a biochemical compound that plays a significant role in the field of pharmacology. It is a derivative of inosinic acid, with a sulfur atom replacing one of the oxygen atoms in the molecule.

IMPDH is a key enzyme in the purine nucleotide biosynthesis pathway, and its inhibition can lead to a decrease in the levels of guanine nucleotides in cells.

Due to its ability to inhibit key enzymes involved in nucleotide synthesis, thioinosinic acid has potential applications in the field of pharmacology.
