Tully's Coffee is a specialty coffee brand and former chain of coffee houses originating from Seattle, Washington. Founded in 1992 by Tom "Tully" O'Keefe, the company's business model was to slow-roast coffee beans, which was in contrast to the quick roasting methods used by other coffee companies at the time.

History

Tully's Coffee was established in 1992 by Tom "Tully" O'Keefe, a businessman who wanted to create a community-focused coffee house experience. The company's first store was opened in Kent, Washington, and it quickly expanded throughout the Pacific Northwest and beyond.

In 2006, Tully's Coffee began to experience financial difficulties, which led to a series of ownership changes. In 2012, the company was purchased by Global Baristas, a group led by actor Patrick Dempsey. However, the company continued to struggle financially, and in 2018, it closed all of its company-owned locations.

Despite the closure of its physical locations, the Tully's Coffee brand continues to exist through its packaged coffee products, which are sold in grocery stores and online.

Products

Tully's Coffee offers a variety of coffee products, including whole bean coffee, ground coffee, and single-serve coffee pods. The company is known for its slow-roasting process, which is said to bring out the best flavors in the coffee beans.
