Peter Brabeck-Letmathe
Peter Brabeck-Letmathe (born 13 November 1944) is an Austrian businessman. He is the former Chairman and CEO of the Nestlé Group, a multinational food and beverage company.
Early Life and Education
Brabeck-Letmathe was born in Vienna, Austria. He studied Economics at the University of World Trade, now known as Vienna University of Economics and Business.
Career
Brabeck-Letmathe joined Nestlé in 1968, working in sales before moving into management. He was appointed CEO in 1997, and Chairman in 2005. During his tenure, he oversaw significant growth and expansion of the company. He retired as CEO in 2008 and as Chairman in 2017.
Leadership Style
Brabeck-Letmathe is known for his transformational leadership style, focusing on innovation and sustainability. He has been a vocal advocate for water as a human right, and has led Nestlé's efforts in water stewardship.
Awards and Recognition
Brabeck-Letmathe has received numerous awards for his leadership, including the World Food Prize and the Global Citizen Award.
Personal Life
Brabeck-Letmathe is married with three children. He is an avid fan of motor racing and serves as a member of the board of directors for Formula One.
