Bonio is a popular brand of dog food and dog treats that originated in the United Kingdom. The brand is currently owned by Nestlé Purina PetCare, a subsidiary of the multinational conglomerate Nestlé. Bonio dog biscuits are well-known for their distinctive bone shape and are often used as a training aid or reward for dogs.

History

Bonio was first introduced in 1932 by Spratt's Patent Ltd, a British pet food company. The name "Bonio" is derived from the Latin word "bonus", meaning "good". The brand quickly gained popularity due to its nutritious formula and unique bone-shaped biscuits.

In 1951, Spratt's was acquired by Spillers, a British animal feed company. Under Spillers, Bonio continued to grow and expand its product range. In 1998, Spillers was bought by Nestlé Purina PetCare, which continues to produce Bonio products today.

Products

Bonio offers a variety of dog food and treats, including its classic Bonio Biscuits, Bonio Mini, and Bonio Puppy. All Bonio products are made with carefully selected ingredients to ensure they are nutritious and safe for dogs.

Bonio Biscuits

Bonio Biscuits are the brand's flagship product. These bone-shaped biscuits are made with wholegrain cereals and a blend of vitamins and minerals. They are designed to help keep dogs' teeth and gums healthy.

Bonio Mini

Bonio Mini is a smaller version of the classic Bonio Biscuits, designed for smaller dogs and puppies. Like the original biscuits, Bonio Mini is made with wholegrain cereals and is enriched with vitamins and minerals.

Bonio Puppy

Bonio Puppy is a specially formulated product for puppies. It contains a higher protein content to support the growth and development of puppies. Bonio Puppy is also enriched with vitamins and minerals to support puppies' overall health.
