Saltigue

Saltigue, also known as Serer high priests, are the high priests in the Serer religion. They are usually chosen from ancient Serer maternal clans and are the main religious leaders, responsible for organizing religious ceremonies and rituals. The Saltigue make predictions at the annual Xoy ceremony, which is a divination ceremony held at the end of the Serer calendar year.
