JWH-047 is a synthetic cannabinoid from the naphthoylindole family. It acts as a full agonist at both the CB1 and CB2 cannabinoid receptors, with a binding affinity of 9.0 nM at CB1 and 2.94 nM at CB2. JWH-047 is one of the few synthetic cannabinoids to feature a 2'-naphthoyl group, and is structurally somewhat similar to other naphthoylindole cannabinoids such as JWH-018 and JWH-073.

Pharmacology

JWH-047 acts as a full agonist at both the CB1 and CB2 cannabinoid receptors. It has a binding affinity of 9.0 nM at CB1 and 2.94 nM at CB2. The effects of JWH-047 on the human body are not well-studied, and its toxicity and potential for abuse are unknown.

Legal Status

The legal status of JWH-047 varies by country. In some jurisdictions, it is classified as a controlled substance due to its structural similarity to other synthetic cannabinoids, while in others it is legal to possess and sell.
