History
Snyder's of Hanover and Lance were two separate entities before their merger in 2010. Snyder's of Hanover, founded in 1909, was a family-owned pretzel bakery operating in Hanover, Pennsylvania. Lance, on the other hand, was established in 1913 in Charlotte, North Carolina, and was known for its sandwich crackers.
The merger of these two companies in 2010 led to the creation of Snyder's-Lance, which became the second-largest salty snack company in the United States. The company continued to grow and expand its product line, acquiring other snack food companies like Diamond Foods in 2016.
In 2018, Campbell Soup Company acquired Snyder's-Lance, integrating it into its Global Biscuits and Snacks division.
