Nanette Milne

Nanette Milne (born 1942) is a retired British politician who served as a Member of the Scottish Parliament (MSP) for the North East Scotland region from 2003 to 2016. She is a member of the Scottish Conservative Party.

Early life and education

Milne was born in 1942 in Aberdeen, Scotland. She attended the University of Aberdeen, where she earned a MB ChB degree in 1965. She later completed a Master of Public Health degree at the same institution in 1995.

Career

After completing her medical training, Milne worked as a general practitioner in Aberdeen for several years. She later served as a public health consultant for Grampian Health Board.

In 2003, Milne was elected as a Member of the Scottish Parliament for the North East Scotland region. She served in this role until her retirement in 2016. During her time in parliament, she was the Scottish Conservative Party's spokesperson on health and wellbeing.

Personal life

Milne is married and has three children. She lives in Aberdeen.
