He developed a unique distillation process that involved double distillation and aging in small Limousin oak casks.

Production

Asbach Uralt is made from carefully selected wines sourced from different grape varieties, primarily from the Rhine region in Germany. The wines are distilled twice in copper pot stills to create a pure and flavorful distillate.

After distillation, the brandy is aged in small Limousin oak casks for a minimum of three years. This aging process allows the brandy to develop its smooth and complex character.
