During pregnancy, relaxin-2 levels increase, contributing to the softening of connective tissues and the widening of the birth canal. Role in Cardiovascular Regulation

RXFP1 is also expressed in cardiovascular tissues, such as the heart and blood vessels. Relaxin hormones have been shown to induce vasodilation, reduce vascular resistance, and increase blood flow.
