Letterman's unique comedic style and innovative approach to late-night television made him one of the most influential figures in the industry.

Early Life and Career[edit]

After graduating, he began his career as a radio talk show host and weatherman in Indianapolis. Late Night with David Letterman[edit]

In 1982, Letterman launched his own late-night talk show, Late Night with David Letterman, on NBC. The show quickly gained a cult following due to its unconventional format and offbeat humor. Letterman's signature segments, such as "Stupid Pet Tricks" and "Top Ten Lists", became iconic features of the show. Late Night also showcased Letterman's interviewing skills, as he engaged in witty and often humorous conversations with a wide range of guests.

Late Show with David Letterman[edit]

After leaving NBC in 1993, Letterman moved to CBS to host Late Show with David Letterman. The show continued to be a success, attracting a large audience and earning critical acclaim.
