MAFG

MAFG is a gene that encodes a protein in humans. This protein is part of the BRCA1-associated genome surveillance complex (BASC), which is involved in the recognition and repair of aberrant DNA structures. The BASC complex is thought to serve as a molecular sensor that binds to DNA structures associated with DNA damage or improper DNA repair, such as DNA double-strand breaks and interstrand cross-links.
