Journal of Parasitology is a peer-reviewed academic journal that publishes research in the field of parasitology. The journal is published by the American Society of Parasitologists and covers all aspects of the subject, including the biochemistry, molecular biology, and genetics of parasites, as well as the host-parasite interaction.

History

The Journal of Parasitology was established in 1914 by Henry Baldwin Ward, a prominent American parasitologist. The journal has been published continuously since its inception, making it one of the oldest journals in the field of parasitology.

Scope

The Journal of Parasitology publishes original research articles, review articles, and short communications in all areas of parasitology, including but not limited to parasite morphology, parasite life cycle, parasite-host interactions, and the epidemiology of parasitic diseases. The journal also publishes special issues on specific topics in parasitology.
