Eristoff
Eristoff is a brand of vodka produced by Bacardi. The brand was first established in Georgia by the Eristhavi family in 1806, making it one of the oldest vodka brands in the world. Eristoff is made from 100% pure grain, triple distilled and charcoal filtered, a process that guarantees absolute purity and makes it a drink of exceptional quality.
History
The Eristoff brand was first created by the noble Eristhavi family in 1806 in the Kingdom of Georgia, which was then part of the Russian Empire. The family were traditional rulers of the province of Kakheti, in the eastern part of the country. The name "Eristoff" is derived from the Georgian word "eristavi", which means "head of the nation".
In the 19th century, the Eristhavi family's vodka became well known throughout the region for its superior quality. However, following the Russian Revolution in 1917, the family was forced to flee Georgia and the Eristoff brand was forgotten for a time.
The brand was revived in the late 20th century by Bacardi, which acquired the rights to the Eristoff name and began producing vodka under this brand. Today, Eristoff is sold in many countries around the world and is recognized as a premium vodka brand.
Production
Eristoff vodka is made from 100% pure grain, which is distilled three times and then filtered through charcoal, a process known as the "charcoal filtration method". This method, which has been used in vodka production for centuries, removes impurities from the alcohol, resulting in a cleaner, smoother taste.
Eristoff produces several different types of vodka, including Eristoff Original, Eristoff Black, and Eristoff Gold. Each type has its own unique flavor profile and is designed to be enjoyed in different ways.
Varieties
- Eristoff Original: This is the classic Eristoff vodka, known for its pure, clean taste. It is triple distilled and charcoal filtered, as per the traditional method.
- Eristoff Black: This is a wild berry flavored vodka, with a hint of licorice. It is often enjoyed as a shot or in cocktails.
- Eristoff Gold: This is a caramel and vanilla flavored vodka, which is typically enjoyed neat or on the rocks.
