NORCAT is a not-for-profit organization based in Sudbury, Ontario, Canada. It was established in 1995 with the mission to provide health and safety training, innovation, and technology development services to the mining and other industrial sectors. NORCAT stands for the Northern Centre for Advanced Technology.

History

NORCAT was founded in 1995 by a group of industry professionals and educators who recognized the need for a dedicated center to support the mining industry in Northern Ontario. Over the years, NORCAT has expanded its services and facilities to include a variety of training programs, an underground mine testing facility, and innovation services.
