Leipzig is the most populous city in the German state of Saxony. It is located in the northwestern part of the state, at the confluence of the White Elster, Pleiße, and Parthe rivers. History

Leipzig has a rich history that dates back to at least the 11th century. It was first mentioned in 1015 and became a city in 1165. 19th and 20th Centuries
