Child and Adult Care Food Program This child nutrition program provides cash and commodity assistance to support meal service programs in child care centers, headstart facilities, and family and group home day care homes for children, the elderly, and disabled. It is permanently authorized under Section 17 of the National School Lunch Act, administered by USDA, Food and Consumer Service, and funded annually by agricultural appropriations.
