The University of Malta is the highest educational institution in Malta. It offers undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in a wide range of disciplines. The university is located in Msida, with a campus in Valletta and another in Gozo.

History

The University of Malta traces its origins to the founding of the Collegium Melitense by the Jesuits in 1592. It was formally established as a university in 1769 by Grand Master Manuel Pinto da Fonseca of the Order of Saint John. Over the centuries, the university has evolved to become a modern institution of higher learning.

Campuses
