John Molson

John Molson (1763-1836) was a prominent Canadian businessman and philanthropist. He is best known for founding the Molson Brewery, which is one of the oldest and largest breweries in North America.

Early Life

John Molson was born on December 28, 1763, in the town of Moulton, Lincolnshire, England. His father, John Molson Sr., was a miller, and his mother, Sarah Insley, came from a family of brewers.
