Igbo is an ethnic group native to Nigeria, with a population of over 20 million people. They are one of the largest ethnic groups in Africa and are predominantly found in southeastern Nigeria. The Igbo people have a rich cultural heritage and are known for their art, music, and traditional beliefs.

The history of the Igbo people dates back to the 9th century, as evidenced by archaeological findings in the region. The Nri Kingdom, which existed from around 948 AD to 1911, is considered the oldest kingdom in Nigeria and was predominantly Igbo.
