European Spine Journal is a peer-reviewed medical journal that focuses on the field of spine research. The journal was established in 1992 and is published by Springer Science+Business Media. The editor-in-chief is Max Aebi (University of Bern).
Overview[edit]
The European Spine Journal publishes articles that contribute to the understanding and treatment of spinal disorders. This includes, but is not limited to, clinical trials, case reports, meta-analyses, and systematic reviews. The journal also publishes articles on biomechanics, anatomy, pathology, and surgery related to the spine.
Abstracting and indexing[edit]
The European Spine Journal is abstracted and indexed in PubMed, Scopus, EMBASE, and the Science Citation Index. According to the Journal Citation Reports, the journal has a 2019 impact factor of 2.634.
Editorial board[edit]
The editorial board of the European Spine Journal consists of experts in the field of spine research from around the world. The current editor-in-chief, Max Aebi, is a professor of orthopedic surgery at the University of Bern.
